D’Angelo Embarking on European Tour Next Year
D’Angelo has been relatively quiet on the music front but he’s hitting the road real soon. The reclusive R&B singer will head over to Europe for a mini U.K. tour next year.
The Voodoo creator will embark on a six-date trek in March 2018. D’Angelo will be hitting London, Switzerland, Paris, Berlin and Hamburg before wrapping it up in Copenhagen. While on his excursion, D will perform a one-off show with veteran U.K. soulster Omar in London. If you don’t know who Omar is -- do your Googles, he’s a phenomenal singer.
D'Angelo is touring in support of his Grammy-winning album, Black Messiah. Earlier this year, he released a remastered deluxe version of his 1995 debut album, Brown Sugar.
The deluxe LP boasts two discs full of remixes, stripped down a capella versions of songs and other surprises. Guests on the project include DJ Premier, Kool G. Rap, Erick Sermon, Dallas Austin, Incognito, Tech King and CJ Mackintosh. In addition, the collector's item also featured a 20-page booklet that included rare photos, lyric sheets and a tribute essay written by cultural critic Nelson George.
