Bobby Brown is putting his heart into his lyrics with a new song dedicated to his late ex-wife Whitney Houston. The New Edition member performed "Don't Let Me Die" on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" Wednesday night (May 16).

In the song, Brown admits he "messed up pretty bad," states that he "doesn't know how to live without you" and begs his former lover "don't let me die."

Dressed in leather pants and donning shades, the crooner sang the lyrics over a driving beat.

Brown will release "Don't Let Me Die" on his forthcoming album, set to debut June 4.
