R&B songbirds Ciara, Fantasia and Jill Scott have been tapped to perform at BET’s Black Girls Rock 2015. The annual event honors women of color in the fields of entertainment, philanthropy, sports and community service.

Other performers include Faith Evans and Erykah Badu, who will be honored with the Rock Star Award.

Among the honorees include veteran actress Cicely Tyson (Living Legend Award), filmmaker Ava DuVernay (the Shot Caller Award), actress Jada Pinkett Smith (Star Power Award), Dr. Helene D. Gaye (Social Humanitarian Award) and educator Nadia Lopez (Change Agent Award).

Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, the Black Girls Rock 2015 event will be taped on March 28 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, N.J., and is scheduled to air on BET April 5 at 9PM ET.

Last year, Queen Latifah, tennis icon Venus Williams and Patti LaBelle were among the honorees. Singers Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Hudson and others performed.

Black Girls Rock was founded by celebrity DJ and philanthropist Beverly Bond who wanted to create a worldwide movement in an effort to empower women and young girls.
