Gold diggers have been a subject of conversation in hip-hop before— Kanye West garnered a No. 1 hit with “Gold Digger.” EPMD’s 1990 tune “Gold Digger” is another classic song about money-grubbing women. Houston rapper BeatKing addresses this subject matter on his latest strip club banger, “Sponsor.”

Produced by Atlanta-based beatmaker TM88, the 32-year-old rapper warns of “p---- poppin monstas” out there looking for a sugar daddy by shaking their moneymakers.

“She a bad b---- all the trap n---s want her / A bad bitch in H-Town got about three sponsors,” he raps over trap music-inspired productions. “He gonna paid her bills / He gonna throw her cake / She put that she you bought her on Snapchat but don’t show your face.”

The song is crude and rude but that’s how Beatking operates. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything, and he gives you the raw deal like Evander Holyfield. Also, the song is tailor-made for the strip clubs.

"Sponsor" is the second single from BeatKing's upcoming project, Astroworld 2, which is scheduled to drop on May 24. The collection features rap cameos from Houston representers Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Maxo Kream, Sauce Walka and Killa Kyleon.
