Adrian Younge spoke with MTV Hive about getting sampled on Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.' It has been a successful 2013 thus far for Younge. He helmed the production on two of the year's best releases, a collaborative album with The Delfonics called 'Adrian Younge Presents The Delfonics' and a project with Ghostface Killah called 'Twelve Reasons To Die.'

A couple of months after the release of 'Twelve Reasons To Die,' he now appears in the credits for Jay-Z's newest album. According to Younge, the songs sampled on 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' came from an album he dropped in 2011, 'Something About April.' Jay was put onto 'Something About April' thanks to Kyambo "Hip-Hop" Joshua, A&R of 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.' Timbaland then went on to sample 'Sirens' for 'Picasso Baby,' and 'Reverie' for 'Heaven.'

"I haven’t spoken to Jay personally about it," Younge said, "But in the Samsung commercial, there’s a part where he says, I want 'keyboards like that' and that’s my song."

When asked if he received a congratulatory Rolex for being sampled on 'Magna Carta Holy Grail,' Younge said that he had received "something a little better." He went on to add that he is now entering negotiations with Roc Nation about possibly working together on other stuff moving forward, and that he will be doing something with "one of the biggest rappers in the world" down the line.

For now, Younge is getting ready to put out his collaborative album with Souls Of Mischief, a project titled 'There Is Only Now.' The project should be coming out later in 2013.
