Remember when adidas announced that they were going to be making 3D printed sneakers? Well, while they may not be widespread at retailers, models are finding their way to a few lucky recipients.

As a perk for their superior abilities, medal winning adidas athletes competing in the Olympics will receive a pair of these amazing adidas FutureCraft sneakers cast in black. The sneakers feature a Primeknit build with a 3D printed outsole and heel counter. The laces will correspond to the level of medal won, and the pair pictured here belongs to a gold medalist, as evidenced by the golden weave and tips.

It goes without saying that you won’t be able to cop this pair of adidas, but hopefully the adidas FutureCraft will find it’s way to retail soon.
