Lil Durk is in trouble with the law again. The Chicago rapper is expected to appear in court on Thursday (Nov. 6) after being arrested for weapons violations Wednesday (Nov. 5).

According to the Chicago Tribune, a Chicago gang task force went to a home the 22-year-old rapper, born Durk Banks, was in to investigate a homicide when they saw him standing in the kitchen with two guns in plain sight.

"I got those pipes (guns) 'cause (expletive) always be tryin' to take my bands (money)," Banks told officers, according to the police report.

Authorities seized a Glock .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 11 live rounds of ammunition and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds.

Durk, who is a convicted felon, was placed under arrest and charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

"He's upset, of course," said his attorney, Sam Adam, Jr. "We feel very confident that he did not possess a gun."

Adam could not confirm any of what was said in the police report but insisted that his client was not in possession of a weapon at all. "I am trying to investigate what exactly happened," he told the newspaper.

In August 2013, Banks appeared in court after pleading guilty to gun possession charges and was given probation. The 'Want It All' rapper vowed that he would never appear in court again. "You can put a capital 'N' -- for never," he reportedly told the judge.

At the time of his arrest, Banks was close to finishing parole on a conviction for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, stemming from an October 2011 arrest.

If convicted of his latest arrest, Lil Durk could be facing five years in prison.
