Since her performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March, Kreayshawn has had the Internet going nuts.

Rumored to have recently signed a $1 million contract with Sony after dropping her new video, 'Gucci Gucci,' which accrued 1.6 million hits on YouTube in two weeks, Kreayshawn is the next logical step for hipster hip-hop fans, following fellow West Coast oddball-indie success stories Odd Future and Lil B.

The 21-year old rapper from Oakland, Calif., looks like she went thrift shopping with Lady Gaga and Die Antwoord's Yolandi Visser; her electro synth tracks sound like a hood Amanda Blank; and her attitude resembles former Def Jam signee Lady Sovereign, right down to the Sapphic makeout sessions. She threatens to rob fellow rappers, all while rocking doorknocker earrings and a vintage babushka.

"All Star Weekend in L.A., we just ran around with guns and, like, tried to rob Yung Berg and like, hella s---, rappin' in front of everybody and yellin' at girls, liftin' girls skirts up," she drawls in an interview with iHipHop. "He was walkin' hella fast, we didn't even do it for serious like, 'Yo that's Yung Berg, let's go get his chain f--- it, everyone's robbed Yung Berg, it's gonna be hella easy!' but it wasn't like, serious."

Born Natassia Zolot -- she was raised by a punk rock mom whose band The Trash Women accompanied her on her first song, 'Boys Are Toys,' when she was five, Kreayshawn grew up in the "Murder Dubs" section of East Oakland, "inspired by art and snatching bitches," and only began rapping a year ago. She's a former film student, who tried her hand at shooting music videos for Lil B and Soulja Boy, to mild success. Her tattooed, kitschy, brash style made her an instant fan favorite, along with her White Girl Mob members Lil Debbie and the psychotic V-Nasty, who liberally drops the word 'n----' in YouTube videos.

While Kreayshawn claims to still be shopping around for a major label home, look for her to make an announcement soon while still entering only the second year of her hip-hop career.

"[As far as the deal with Sony] nothing is finalized yet," she told Complex. "We took meetings with every label. They're not the only people we met with. We'll make an announcement when everybody is ready, but right now, that's basically just a rushed ahead rumor. It's not that exciting. Whatever we end up choosing, it's going to be a well-thought out decision."
