A representative for Lil Peep (Gustav Åhr) confirmed that the rapper has died. He was only 21.

Peep had just played a live show at The Rock in Tuscon on Wednesday evening (Nov. 15). The New York-based artist, best known for mixing rap and emo styles, released his 2015 debut,  LiL PEEP PART ONE, on Soundcloud. His follow-up projects included Crybaby and Hellboy, and his debut studio album, Come Over When You're Sober (Part One), was released in August.

Peep is thought to have died from a drug overdose, though that has not yet been confirmed. His music, which often touched on drug use and depression, vividly illustrated his personal battles and afflictions. He'd posted pictures on Instagram as recently as nine hours before news of his death broke.

Peep’s manager Chase Ortega broke the news of the young artist's death on Twitter just after midnight. “I’ve been expecting this call for a year. Mother fuck,” he tweeted.

Since the news of his death, celebrities and fan tributes have poured in, including condolences from Lil Yachty, Juicy J, Mark Ronson, Lil B and more. You can take a look the reactions to the tragic news below.
