After a successful 2015, Future kicks off 2016 with his surprise mixtape, Purple Reign. On Sunday morning (Jan. 16), the Atlanta rhymer delivered the project, much to the Future Hive's (aka his fans) delight.

The 13-track collection follows behind F. Hendrix’s 2015 mixtapes, Beast Mode and 56 Nights. The tape is executive produced by his two hitmakers DJ Esco and Metro Boomin and boasts production from Nard & B, Southside, Jon Boii, DJ Spinz and Zaytoven.

Most of the songs on the mixtape are styrofoam cup-inspired jams that will definitely make your head nod. Among the standout tracks on the tape include the orchestral banger “Wicked," the Auto-Tune-driven “Drippin (How U Luv That)," the reflective “Never Forget,” the bouncy “Run Up” and the druggy “Perkys Calling.”

On "Purple Reign," Future yearns for his dirty Sprite concoction and throws a couple of shots at his haters (*cough* Meek Mill). "I don't want no words with you cause you mad bogus / I'm just tryna motivate the hoods all over / I'm just tryna teach you how to get these whips loaded / I'm just tryin' show you how to get a few rollies," he spits.

Future will most likely perform these songs on his Purple Reign tour next month. The trek kicks off Feb. 17 in Madison, Wisc., and will conclude Mar. 19 in San Diego, Calif. Joining F. Hendrix on the trek is rapper-crooner Ty Dolla $ign.
