Future Caps Off Huge Year With ‘Purple Reign’ Tour Announcement

After gifting the world with three mixtapes and the superb DS2 album this year Future just keeps on giving. With an assist from a Rick Nice-directed video, the Atlanta superstar announced a headlining trek called the Purple Reign Tour.

The preview clip features fans going crazy outside Future shows and the chaos that pops off once inside the venues. It certainly gets the the hype across.

Future's tour kicks off on Feb. 17 in Madison, Wisc., and will conclude Mar. 19 in San Diego, Calif. Joining Future Hendrix on the trek is rapper-crooner Ty Dolla $ign.

The Purple Reign tour follows behind Future's successful 2015 run with two No. 1 albums -- DS2 and What a Time to Be Alive (with Drake) -- and a couple of mixtapes, including the fan favorite, 56 Nights.

The 32-year-old rhymer is all over Best of lists including our 20 Best Hip-Hop Videos and20 Best Best Hip-Hop Albums list, where he slid in at No. 3 for DS2.
