French Montana, Jadakiss Channel ‘King of New York’ In ’88 Coupes’ Video

Subscribe to TheBoombox on

Rappers French Montana and Jadakiss channel the 1990 cult classic ‘King of New York’ in the newly-released video to ’88 Coupes.’ Opening with a monologue from an impressive Christopher Walken impersonator, the five-minute mini-movie stars the Bronx bomber as a fresh-out-of-prison mob boss, clearly inspired by Walken’s character as Frank White in the film.

As the Picture Perfect-directed clip dives deep into the seedy underworld of New York City crime, the Coke Boy leader and LOX rapper enjoy the company of video vixens and a garage full of ’80s coupes. Fellow rappers Lil Durk, Chinx and the rest of the Coke Boys crew make cameos in the visual, which ends with ’90s-style movie credits as well.

Produced by Harry Fraud, ’88 Coupes’ is taken from French Montana’s ‘Coke Boys 4′ mixtape, which you can download here.
