Wu-Tang Clan Announce U.K. Tour With Yelawolf
The Staten Island clan will kick off their Wu-Tang Clan Rebirth tour in London, England on June 11 and will perform an additional show on June 12, before moving on to Birmingham. The crew will be joined by Hyro Da Hero and Young Dirty Bastard, who is the son of the group's fallen rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard. DJ Semtex will serve as the official tour DJ and Shady Records/Interscope rhymer Yelawolf will open up for the Wu during four out of five tour stops.
Wu-Tang members -- most notably, Raekwon -- have been at work on solo projects over the past few years, but the group performed a series of collective shows in 2010. Their last trip to the U.K. was for an early August 2010 tour, where they paid tribute to late member Ol' Dirty Bastard during their sets.
In late August, they took the stage at the Rock the Bells festival to perform their album 'Enter the 36 Chambers' in its entirety. And in December, they kicked off a nine-date tour across the U.S.
Wu-Tang released their fifth and most recent studio album, '8 Diagrams,' in 2007. Raekwon is the group's most recent member to release a solo album, with March's 'Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang.'
