There’s a new mural in Staten Island, New York, and it’s nuthing ta f--- with.

A 2,000 square-foot mural that pays tribute to the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as address climate change, was recently unveiled. The artwork was created by New York artist Cody Prez who wanted to make a political statement against global warming.

The mural, “Climate Change Ain’t Nothing to Mess With,” is an obvious hat-tip to the Wu-Tang Clan’s classic song “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F' Wit.” Prez was also inspired by the news coverage of Hurricane Maria that destroyed the island of Puerto Rico back in September.

"I had some Wu-Tang playing on the radio, and I was just paying attention to the screen, and it struck me like lighting," Prez told Gothamist.

Prez got the blessings to use the Wu logo from DJ Mathematics, who created the world-renown insignia. The mural appears on a wall of the Richmond Hood Company, a clothing studio located at Artist Alley in Staten Island.

So far, Redman and Mathematics have visited the mural, which will no doubt become a tourist attraction for rap fans.

"It's very humbling. The Clan played such a huge role in the culture of hip-hop and in the presence of artwork they provide to their listeners," said Prez who also created a previous mural that addressed the issue of prescription drug abuse on Staten Island called "PILLZ KILLZ."

Prez hopes his new mural will inspire young people to be more conscious about the environment.

"The message is this: Mother Nature is bigger than we are. As big as humans think they are on this planet, we're just specks of sand compared to what she is," he said. "I just hope people can open up their minds to being more aware of the beautiful things our planet offers us that we take for granted."

If you want to check out Cody Prez's Wu-Tang Clan-inspired climate change mural, you'll find it at 827 Castleton Ave in Staten Island.
