Trey song and R.kelly

Though Trey Songz claims that he has no animosity towards R. Kelly, he continues to criticize the controversial crooner in interviews. In the Apri/May issue of Vibe magazine, the 'Say Aah' singer called out Kelly, saying that he blatantly stole from fellow '90s R&B artist Aaron Hall.

"People say, 'Well, I hear a lot of R. Kelly in your music.' So what?" Songz told Vibe. "R. Kelly took Aaron Hall's whole style. Two albums straight ... You can say what you want about me."

The beef between Songz and Kellz began when Kelly responded negatively to the younger artist's remix of his epic 'Trapped in the Closet' single, dismissing Songz, saying "Elephants don't swat flies," and warning him to "be very careful." Songz responded by stating that Kelly's use of Auto-Tune "disappoints me. If throwing rocks at the throne wakes up the King, consider them thrown."

While the two artists have kept their dispute quiet thus far, Kelly has a history of angering fellow artists, including former collaborator Jay-Z, whom Songz is opening up for on his 'Blueprint 3' tour. Kelly has yet to respond to Songz' recent insult, but if the past is any indication, we're sure to hear something from the volatile crooner shortly.
