Another R. Kelly documentary is coming to television. This new film will focus on the singer’s sexual misconduct allegations based on music journalist Jim DeRogatis expose for Buzzfeed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, BuzzFeed News' Linzee Troubh and Shani Hilton are developing the project for Hulu, and it’s being directed by Lyric Cabral (Terror). Citizenfour director Laura Poitras and her Field of Vision co-founder Charlotte Cook will serve as executive producers.

BuzzFeed first broke the story about R. Kelly allegedly holding several women against their will at his Atlanta and Chicago homes. Since then, several other women have come forward and filed lawsuits against Kelly for alleged sexual battery, false imprisonment, and failure to disclose a sexually transmitted disease.

The reporting of these disturbing allegations have sparked a nationwide #MutRKelly campaign with activists urging companies to sever their ties with the embattled singer. Recently, Spotify and other streaming platforms have removed Kelly’s songs from their curated playlists, which has only increased his streaming numbers not decreased them.

The Buzzfeed-produced documentary is among a list of television projects about the controversial singer.

Lifetime recently announced that a dream hampton-produced documentary series and Barbara Marshall-penned TV movie about Kelly's alleged sex cult are in development.

Both the docu-series and TV movie will also explore the survivors coming forward with new allegations of sexual, mental and physical abuse by Kelly. Both projects are part of Lifetime’s Stop Violence Against Women campaign, which helps raise awareness of abusive behaviors.

"Some very brave black women have trusted us with their stories, their truth, and their trauma,” said Hampton about her docu-series. “They are survivors, and I’m honored to share their stories with the world.”

Both Hulu and Lifetime has not announced air dates for these projects.
