#TheDress: Kanye West, Joe Budden, Justine Skye, Ariana Grande & More Join Internet Meltdown Over Its Color
The Internet exploded last night (Feb. 26), and this time it wasn't because of Kim Kardashian's butt. Instead, it was due to a highly fueled debate over the color of a dress.
If you decided to stay off social media, then you missed feeds on Twitter, Instagram and the like buzzing about the colors of a form-fitting dress. Caitlin McNeill, a 21-year-old woman from the Scottish Hebredeian island of Colonsay, posted a photo of the dress on Tumblr, raising the question, "Is this dress white and gold, or blue and black?"
The simple post lit up social media with comments and explanations from stylists to scientists tagged with "#TheDress." Not only did it spark debates all over the internet, but it also stirred up some arguments amongst loved ones. It went so viral that members of the hip-hop and R&B community weighed in on the debate and the responses were similar to what everyone else was saying about it.
Kim Kardashian revealed that she and hubby Kanye West didn't agree on the hue, and that was the same story for Justine Skye and her mother. However, everyone wasn't pleased to join in the conversation like Ariana Grande and Joe Budden, who called for the debate to end. But if there was one comment that dropped the mic on all of them, it was John Legend's other half, Chrissy Teigen, who tweeted what many of us were probably thinking.
