Tech N9ne Thanks Fans for Making ‘Hood Go Crazy’ & ‘Fragile’ Hit Gold Status
Tech N9ne recently achieved two milestones in his career. The independent king nabbed two gold-certified plaques for his singles, “Hood Go Crazy” and “Fragile” by the RIAA (500,000 copies sold).
The Kansas City rhymer thanked his fans, aka “Technicians,” for making the songs reach that plateau.
“This is a beautiful testament to the loyalty of my fans,” Tech N9ne said in a statement (via Floss Magazine). “Thanks to all the Technicians that made this possible and have made Strange Music the #1 independent record company in the universe, without them none of this is possible.”
“Hood Go Crazy,” which features 2 Chainz and B.o.B, is the main single from Tech’s 2015 album, Special Effects, while "Fragile," featuring Kendrick Lamar, his from his 2013 album, Something Else.
The 44-year-old CEO of Strange Music is currently working on his next project called The Storm, which is due out in the fall.
“I don’t fit the part for mainstream cause I’m rougher only time they wanna look like me is Halloween mutha f---a! (I GET IT NOW) THE STORM, 9/9/16,” he wrote on his Instagram page in the caption of a photo featuring him in his signature war paint.
Congratulations to Tech N9ne on his RIAA accomplishments.
