Suge Knight's time behind bars is looking bleaker by the day. During an arraignment in Los Angeles court on Thursday morning (April 30), the former Death Row Records founder's request for a bail reduction was denied.

According to TMZ, Knight's lawyer, Matthew Fletcher, requested his client's bail be lowered an additional $5 million from $10 million. If the judge granted the reduction, Knight would only need to come up with $5 million to be released from jail.

The original amount was set at a whopping $25 million last month for Knight's role in a fatal hit-and-run in January. He's currently being charged with murder and attempted murder in the incident. The hip-hop mogul collapsed in court following the bail decision and was subsequently rushed to a local hospital after he fell unconscious in court. In a surprising decision, a judge drastically reduced the initial bail to $10 million earlier this month.

Fletcher revealed that boxer Floyd Mayweather would post the $10 million bail for Knight if he won the boxing match against Manny Pacquiao on Saturday (May 2), which caused quite a buzz across the internet. A rep from Mayweather's Money Team tells TMZ the rumors are false and he won't be delivering the money. Looks like Fletcher was wrongly informed.

Knight pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case -- one hit-and-run count has been dropped -- and has claimed self-defense for his actions. He was arrested for killing Terry Carter on Jan. 29 after he ran over him with his vehicle in a parking lot of Tam's Burgers in Compton, Calif. The 50-year-old also hit Cle "Bone" Sloan, injuring him. During court testimony, Sloan has refused to "snitch" on the man who almost paralyzed him.

His murder trial will begin July 7, which could likely find Knight back in the hospital. Since his incarceration, his health has seriously deteriorated and hospital visits following court appearances have become the norm.
