Statik Selektah, Joey Bada$$ and Freddie Gibbs Are Street Performers in ‘Carry On’ Video

There are certain things you get used to ignoring when you live in the city long enough. Street performers are one of them. However, passing up on a street performance from Statik Selektah, Joey Bada$$ and Freddie Gibbs is a huge mistake. That’s the scenario in the video for ‘Carry On,’ a cut off Statik’s new album, ‘What Goes Around.’

The fluttering saxophone on the track sounds like a sonic morsel of the city life, and that’s the theme for the Guy Blelloch-directed visual. As the two rappers perform in front of a clear VHS-quality camera in Washington Square Park in New York City, the video follows other street performers and people just going through everyday life. Keep your eyes out for a cameo by Brooklyn rhymer Buckshot.

‘What Goes Around,’ Statik Selektah’s sixth solo album, just hit stores today (Aug. 19).
