R. Kelly ‘Trapped in the Closet': Next Installment Coming Soon to IFC

R. Kelly fans rejoice, 'Trapped in the Closet' is back for another installment! According to a new clip, Kells' epic 22 chapter R&B series is returning to IFC in the near future. Kelly began working on the saga in 2005, recording 22 chapters, in which he starred and sang. Though Kelly promised to release further installments, nothing materialized -- until now.

The 35-second clip depicts scenes from the upcoming chapters, cut together with grainy footage of the genius at work (sound familiar?) on an MPC and keyboard, with text that reads "the drama... continues... 'trapped in the Closet' coming soon."

"Sylvester, Rufus, Cathy, Gwendolyn, Bridget, Big Man, Rosie the Nosy Neighbor, Twan and Pimp Lucius are back!" reveals a press release from IFC, referring to the drama's memorable cast of characters.

"This year, the crew reunites on IFC in the next installments of R. Kelly's continuing hip hopera about a group of characters interconnected by sexual exploits, little people and a mysterious package."

While "sexual exploits, little people and a mysterious package" sound, again, like an obvious reference to Kelly's prior legal predicament (produced by Fuzzy Bunny Films?), we're psyched to see where he goes with the next installment.
