In 2013, producers were responsible for crafting the sounds to some of your favorite songs. These studio mavericks delivered a bevy of beats that were soulful, disco-inspired and made speakers rattle. There are 10 nominees for Producer of the Year in The Boombox Fan Choice Awards, but there can only be one winner.

Pharrell Williams probably had the biggest year as a producer. He blessed Robin Thicke with the funky dance song 'Blurred Lines,' which, undoubtedly, was the most ubiquitous song of 2013. Then he grabbed the mic to sing vocals on the disco-inspired tune 'Get Lucky' with Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers. On top of that, he married his longtime girlfriend Helen Lasichanh. Skateboard P certainly had an eventful 2013.

Speaking of Pharrell, production duo Daft Punk heated up the dance floors with their groovy hits 'Get Lucky' and 'Lose Yourself to Dance' from their Grammy-nominated album, 'Random Access Memories.'

In 2013, Mike WiLL Made It had the clubs bumping with bass-heavy beats. The Atlanta hitmaker produced bangers for Miley Cyrus, Future, Rihanna and Juicy J. Then he capped off his year by signing a major record deal with Interscope Records for his Eardruma Records imprint.

DJ Mustard was also cranking out the hits. The California-based producer blessed YG, 2 Chainz and B.o.B with chart-topping tracks as well.

Veteran hitmaker Timbaland provided soundscapes on two of the biggest albums of 2013 -- Justin Timberlake’s ’20/20 Experience’ and Jay Z’s 'Magna Carter Holy Grail.'

Not to be outdone, Rick Rubin was a Svengali on three important rap albums. He oversaw production on Hov’s 'Magna Carter Holy Grail' album, Eminem’s eighth LP, 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' and Kanye West’s polarizing album, 'Yeezus.'

Finally, producers DJ Dahi, the Alchemist, Kanye West and Noah "40" Shebib blessed several artists with great music.
