Maison Martin Margiela is known for looking to the art world for  inspiration, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the self-proclaimed "avant-garde French fashion house is taking cues from Jackson Pollack's splatter-styled art for these red mid-top kicks.

Influenced by Pollacks'abstract expressionist movement, the red leather mid-top seems to be reminiscent of the artist's 1949 'Number 8' painting. While different in color, the line-and-spec splatter is easily recognizable. The Splatter-Detail Mid-Top Replica Sneaker carries all of the French couture line's signature designs including a leather rubber sole, cushioned insole, contrast top stitching and a white, stitched Maison Martin Margiela label detail on the heel counter.

But with this brand, it's no secret that boutique sneakers don't come cheap. If you can handle it, catch the $650 kicks right here.
