Macklemore Performs ‘Can’t Hold Us’ at 2013 American Music Awards

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis weren’t in Los Angeles to appear at the 2013 American Music Awards, but that didn’t stop them from performing.

The Seattle duo performed ‘The Heist’ track ‘Can’t Hold Us’ from Miami after receiving a trophy for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album. This performance — like all of their energetic showmanship — was full of energy with the live band performing the tune faithfully before Ray Dalton slid onto the stage to sing the chorus. Macklemore was dressed in all of his black tank top glory as well.

The performance comes after Macklemore acknowledged in his acceptance speech the prevalence of fatal racial profiling incidents in America.
