October is National Bullying Prevention Month. But unfortunately for one middle school student in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was sent to the hospital over being bullied for not wearing regular shoes. But to his surprise, his favorite rapper stopped by to show him some support in his time of need.

Kyler Davila is unable to wear "normal" shoes, and has encountered a lot of bullies because of it. The bullying recently escalated for young Kyler, as he was stabbed in the hallway at Carmel Middle School.

He's since started a sneaker movement, collecting and donating shoes for other kids that get bullied for the sneakers they wear. His favorite rapper Lil Flip was in town for a show and heard he had a big fan who was doing great things for other kids, but was also getting bullied at school. Flip delayed his video shoot and stopped by the hospital to meet Kyler himself. After getting to know Kyler, the Houston rapper decided to donate shoes to the middle schooler from his own shoe line to help with his movement.

“I had three pairs of shoes donated to me, because I was being bullied about my shoes," Kyler told Fox21 News in regards to what made him start collecting shoes for other kids. "I really liked the feeling and I didn’t want other kids to get bullied because of their shoes and I wanted other kids to have that same feeling, so I started collecting them for other kids."

Fox21 News reported the story over the weekend. You can watch the video footage here. And if you're in the Colorado Springs area and want to help Kyler out, you can drop off pairs of kicks at a collection box at WP Nation at 2509 Platte Place Suite A in Colorado Springs.
