Lil Boosie may face more jail time as a result of being indicted on charges he attempted to smuggle drugs into a Louisiana state prison back in May.

The 'Wipe Me Down' rapper, born Torrence Hatch, was indicted by an East Baton Parish grand jury Thursday (July 15). His charges include conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution and enticing a felony.

Boosie, who is currently incarcerated for a pending first-degree murder charge, allegedly tried to bring codeine syrup into the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. The Baton Rouge native, 28, and convicts Titus Franklin and Arthur Stewart, both 27, were reported to Louisiana State Penitentiary detectives and the East Baton Rouge Violent Crimes Unit after they attempted to bring the drug into the jail. An undercover official caught the act.

Boosie has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a Baton Rouge man named Terry Boyd. He may possibly face the death penalty if convicted.
