Lauryn Hill is no longer receiving the warm welcome she once did during her days when 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' album first arrived. During a concert in London on Saturday (Sept. 20), the singer was met with boos and disgruntled fans due to her lateness and performing songs that were hardly recognizable.

According to Reuters, the night got off to a rocky start when the New Jersey native arrived about an hour late to her first sold-out show at the Brixton Academy in London. Before she hit the stage, the crowd began booing and even took to Twitter to express their anger.

Once she grabbed the mic, Hill performed songs off her debut solo album, but with a twist. Rather than stick to the original versions of songs with distinct melodies fans have grown to love, she offered new interpretations. Those in the room were hardly pleased.

This isn't the first time the 39-year-old entertainer has been late to a show or received harsh criticism regarding her stage performance. In 2011, Hill arrived three hours late to a sold-out event in Atlanta. Earlier this year, a "disrespectful" fan called her out for missing the mark on her first song in Chicago. She was also late to that gig.

Hill continues her set of U.K. shows in Birmingham on Sept. 23 and Manchester on Sept. 25. The internet may witness more fans bashing the former Fugees member via Twitter if she fails to show up on time.
