Lauryn Hill Calls Out Fan for Being ‘Disrespectful’ at Chicago Show [VIDEO]

Lauryn Hill is known for speaking her mind. So when a fan in Chicago called her out for not only being extremely late to her own performance but also doing a poor job onstage last week, the singer went in.

“When I get up on this stage, don’t be disrespectful,” Lauryn tells the crowd at the House of Blues in the Windy City. “You can go. Please refund back your money. If a little patience is too much, it’s all right you can go.”

She continued on, telling him and the crowd to get that refund. And she even told the venue staff, “Excuse me, there’s a gentleman over there who did something I don’t like. Can you please escort him out and refund his money?”

According to the venue, Lauryn was scheduled to play at 10:30PM but got on the stage at 11:20PM instead. The fan reportedly called her out after she didn’t perform her first song too well. But even after the incident, fans, including the one who filmed this video, claim that her next two songs were rushed, and the line toward the exit was really long. People were also reportedly asking for their money back.

Apparently this is what happens when you have a near meltdown at your show.
