A lot can change in a year. In the new music video for his single 'Wish I Had It,' Kevin Gates relives his rise in the rap game and how drastically his life's changed. In the video, the viewer sees Gates experiencing trouble with his broken down car in a rough start to his day. As things fast forward to the new year, Gates is now seen in a luxurious convertible as he's become more fortunate.

It's a fitting visual for the standout cut off Gates' 'By Any Means' mixtape that sees the Baton Rouge rapper describe his aspirations for success while relaying his unwillingness to conform.

Gates raps, "Out the streets, stay in the streets, all I can do is be me / With Flo Rida, nothing in common, I'm not a B.o.B / Hustle hard and I'm hands on / I'm a good guy that could transform / Did time, I ain't ask for it / Still sending mail through the hatch form / Different city within the city / More over product than a ant farm."

Kevin Gates is currently on the first leg of a national tour to promote his 'By Any Means' tape. To see if Gates will be stopping by a city near you, check out the full list of dates at his official site.
