Kendrick Lamar Wants Everyone to Listen to XXXTentacion’s ’17’ Album: ‘Raw Thoughts’

XXXtentacion finally dropped his debut album 17 and fans have been raving about the rapper’s raw emotions on the project. One person who gave the album a thumbs up is none other than Kendrick Lamar.

On Friday (Aug. 25), K.Dot went on his Twitter page to encourage his fans to listen to XXXTentacion’s album. “Listen to this album if you feel anything,” he tweeted. “raw thoughts.” He then added that he’s been listening to the project multiple of times. “5th listen,” he wrote.

XXXtentacion has been garnered a loyal fanbase since the release of his breakout 2015 song, “Look at Me!," which has since gone platinum. Since then, he endured a few struggles, particularly with his stage shows, but it looks like he’s back on track.

The 19-year-old rapper did find himself in a little bit of controversy last week when a visual popped up of him hanging from a chained noose tied to a tree. XXXtentacion addressed the video saying it was a just a preview for an upcoming music video.

“If you thought I would ‘pretend’ to kill myself for a publicity stunt you’re f---ing stupid," he wrote on Instagram.

As for his album 17, XXXtentacion says the project "is meant for people who suffer thru depression."
