New York-based artist KAWS’ "Companion" sculpture has become a fixture in the art and music world. Last year, he remixed MTV’s Moonman trophy for the Video Music Awards.

Last month, KAWS, real name Brian Donnelly, premiered his massive wooden sculpture of "Companion" at New York’s Mary Boone Gallery.

Jay Z's Life + Times brought their cameras and filmed this beautiful piece of art. Oddly, the film crew didn’t interview KAWS about his humungous sculpture at the gallery. Judging by the size of his "Companion" piece, it had to take KAWS ( and some of his helpers) months just to create the scultupre.
