Chance the Rapper held his inaugural Magnificent Coloring Day Festival in his native hometown of Chicago on Saturday (Sept. 24). From the looks of it, everything went off without a hitch although it did get a little chaotic when Kanye West made a surprise appearance.

Yeezy joined Chano during his set for a performance of “Ultralight Beam” from his celebrated album, The Life of Pablo. “I’m so proud of this young man right here, for putting all of this together,” said Kanye of Chance coordinating the festival.

Things did get a little crazy as fans broke through the barricades to get a closer look of West performing his song. Thankfully, nobody got hurt during the melee.

Other acts who performed at the event included Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Alicia Keys, Tyler the Creator, Young Thug and LiL Uzi Vert.

Afterward, Chance thanked all of the artist who made the Magnificent Coloring Day Festival a huge success. "Got so busy I didn't get to say thank you to all the #MCD artists that did this for the Southside. Today was historic for Chicago," he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Drake went on his Instagram page to salute Chance the Rapper on launching his own music festival for the city of Chicago. "Congrats to @chancetherapper on starting a festival and putting on an incredible show for your city!" he wrote. "Always happy to see people making historic moments for their hometown."
