Kanye West Tweets Support for New Creative Director of Maison Martin Margiela
Kanye West is always keeping watch on what's going on in the fashion world. On Monday (Oct. 6), Yeezy made his first appearance on Twitter since August to congratulate a well-known designer's return to the fashion game.
The rapper tweeted his support for 53-year-old designer John Galliano and his gig. Galliano has been hired as the new creative director at Paris-based fashion house Maison Martin Margiela.
This will be Galliano's second chance at revolutionizing the fashion world after he was fired from Christian Dior in 2011, due to a racist and anti-Semitic rant he aimed at a couple in Paris.
The 'Bound 2' MC went on to mention several powerful and creative designers who have creative control at various prestigious fashion houses.
West was the talk of the town during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month. From getting booed to matching cleavage with his wife Kim Kardashian to an attack, the rapper was tabloid fodder for about a week in the City of Love.
There's no word yet if West and Galliano will collaborate on a fashion project.
