Kanye West has his eyes set on being the next American Idol along with becoming president of the U.S. in 2020. The 38-year-old rapper surprised judges when he came through the doors to audition for the music competition series.

Yeezy's song choice? One of his very own, of course. West performed "Gold Digger" from his sophomore album, Late Registration, for the final season of American Idol. His performance was well-received by the judging panel, which includes Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban. And when Ye raps "my psychic told me she'll have a ass like Serena, Trina, Jennifer Lopez," the "I'm Real" singer couldn't help but to sing along to her shout out in the 2005 hit song.

North's dad even got the famous ticket to Hollywood and gave host Ryan Seacrest a hi-five after the audition in San Francisco on Saturday (Oct. 10).

The College Dropout creator was in town to perform songs off of Swish at the Democratic National Committee Fundraiser that same day. At the event, President Obama was also in attendance and had some funny and ironic advice for the 2020 presidential hopeful.

"First of all you’ve got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they’re on a reality TV show. So you’ve got to be cool with that," the President joked. "Second important tip: saying you have a 'beautiful, dark twisted fantasy'... that’s what’s known as 'off message' in politics. You can’t say something like that. A lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying stuff like that. And number three: Do you really think this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the United States? That’s crazy. That's cray!"
