John Legend to Open for Sade on U.S. Leg of World Tour
With several Grammy and two NAACP Award nominations this year, John Legend is taking his sultry tunes on the road. The singer-songwriter has been tapped as the opener for the North American dates on Sade‘s upcoming world tour, which sees the two acts playing to stadiums across the country.
Legend will grace the stage for the 17 American dates, while Sade will continue on without the piano man and wrap-up the 50-date tour overseas. The singer, born John Stephens, will join the tour on June 16 at Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena, making pit stops at New York’s Nassau Coliseum, Orlando’s Amway Center, Chicago’s United Center and Los Angeles’ Staples Center. The U.S. leg of the tour wraps up on August 30 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Ahead of the big tour, Legend will make his way to the 53rd Grammy Awards taking place this Sunday (Feb. 13).
