Brooklyn rhymer and new dad Jay-Z made his first public appearance Wednesday night (Jan. 18), since his daughter Blue Ivy was born. The 'Glory' creator threw a grand reopening event to unveil a newly renovated space inside 40/40, the New York City nightclub he owns.

Hov was joined by a slew of hip-hop and R&B performers, who walked the red carpet in flowing gowns and sharp suits. Fabolous, Wale, Adrienne Bailon, Ashanti and Swizz Beatz were among those in attendance and even Warren Buffet joined in the festivities. The man touted as one of the most successful investors in the world shared the cover of Forbes magazine with Jay-Z in 2010.

A multi-million dollar renovation was given to 40/40, which includes four 165-inch video screens and gold bats lining the walls.

Rumors swirled of his wife Beyonce attending the event, but the Roc Nation founder graced the red carpet solo, leaving her to tend to their newborn. Since his daughter's birth, Jay-Z has released a song, 'Glory,' which celebrated his new bundle of joy, and refuted reports that he would be eliminating the word "bitch" from his vocabulary as a result of his baby girl.
