Ever since Beyonce and Jay-Z announced they were starting a family, pundits joked it was only a matter of time before their child dropped a single. As it turns out, they were right. Less than 48 hours after her birth, Blue Ivy Carter can be heard giggling on 'Glory,' Jay's just-released track about becoming a father.

Produced by Pharrell and posted Monday (Jan. 9) on Hova's Life + Times website, the tune deals with the couple's elation and relief, as Jay reveals that Beyonce previously suffered a miscarriage.

"False alarms and false starts/ All made better by the sound of your heart," he raps, riding a gentle beat Pharrell must have smuggled into Lenox Hill Hospital. After all, when you rent out an entire floor, there's plenty of room for recording gear.

Lest that line seem too ambiguous, the usually guarded Brooklyn MC gets even more personal, laying it down bluntly: "Last time the miscarriage was tragic/ We was afraid you'd disappear, but nah, baby, you're magic."

Elsewhere, Jay discusses Blue Ivy's conception -- "You don't yet know what swagger is/ But you was made in Paris" -- and looks ahead to his genetically blessed daughter's bright future.

"I wreak havoc on the world," he raps. "Get ready for part two: a younger, smarter faster me. So a pinch of Hov, a whole glass of B."
