A teenager who dressed up like one of the members of Insane Clown Posse as part of a prank is now dead.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, 17-year-old Reb Barbee, of Ohio, entered the home of Heather Tackett, the mother of his friend, without permission on Sunday (Sept. 14). Barbee, who was wearing an Insane Clown Posse Mask, stood over Tackett's son holding a knife as he slept. Tackett witnessed Barbee in action, but didn't realize it was him.

From there, Tackett grabbed her boyfriend's gun and shot Barbee, believing he was an intruder. She let off one shot, which hit him in the back around 4AM. Barbee fled the scene, as did several of his friends, who were apparently outside. Once they arrived to Barbee's home, no one called 911 until an hour later at 5AM. When one of his friends finally did call about him being shot, they were extremely vague about the gunshot wound and how it happened. Tragically, Barbee died. He was pronounced dead shortly after 6AM.

In an interview with police, Tackett said she was devastated at the fact she shot and killed one of her son's friends, but was also confused why he would enter her home in the manner in which he did. "I really liked that kid and I was really good to him," she said. "And it breaks my heart he'd enter my home like that."

Barbee's friends Adam Pickens, 18; Brandon J. Hamilton and Tyler R. Blazer, both 17, were arrested. Hamilton, Blazer and Pickens are facing delinquency counts of murder and complicity to aggravated burglary. The latter will answer to those charges in adult court and is being held on $250,000 bond.
