Iggy Azalea has finally broken her silence. After A Tribe Called Quest frontman Q-Tip took it upon himself to give the 'Fancy' rapper a brief rundown on hip-hop's roots and T.I. chimed in with his own sentiments about the industry's barbed comments towards the rap star, she's taken to Twitter to express herself.

Before tweeting on Monday night (Dec. 22), everyone from artists to critics to fans gave their two cents concerning the supposed privilege and excessive promotion the Australian import has been receiving over the past year -- Azealia Banks being the most vocal about her mark on hip-hop culture.

Azalea finally put out a blanket response, addressing the backlash. "i find it patronizing to assume i have no knowledge of something I'm influenced by, but I've also grown up with strangers assuming that," she wrote on Twitter. "so its completely fine and I'm used to it by now. i don't lose any sleep over it. im also not going to sit on twitter & play hip hop squares with strangers to somehow prove i deserve to be a fan of or influenced by hiphop."

She continued to express herself, stating that she's not bothered by "cemented opinions." Check out Iggy's complete response below.
