Out of the blue on this glorious Memorial Day Weekend, a previously unreleased Dr. Dre track surfaced online. The presumably leaked song called “2Nite” features Kendrick Lamar and Jeremih on the hook.

It’s a glimmering song with some ‘90s sheen on it and live instrumentation. It features a rare a rap appearance from The Chronic creator. The veteran producer raps about his recent sexual conquest with a beautiful woman.

"You bitin' your lips, toes twitching and she cringing / Steamin' up the bathroom 'til we left it a sauna / I beat it up and now you usin' my tee as pajamas,” he spits.

K.Dot’s voice sounds really young on this song, which may indicate that this was recorded way before his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, but it’s only an observation. Nevertheless, the Compton rhymer stays on topic and spit his sexualized lyrics.

“I might've been too aggressive / But it was far from desperate / I mean, the swag I got, just know it's half the effort / Ain’t tryin' to toot my horn / But, s---, I sworn that I swarmed up in it, stamped and fingerprint it,” he raps.

Jeremih sings the chorus, which references of The Roots & Erykah Badu’s Grammy-winning song, “You Got Me.”

Overall, the song is not bad, however, it’s not clear where it came from. According to reports, “2Nite” may have been a throwaway track from the Detox recording sessions. Last September, Aftermath producer Dawaun Parker revealed that Dre scrapped the Detox title altogether.

Either way, hearing old or new material from Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar is always a plus in our books. Listen to the song below.
