DJ JS-1 is one of the most respected DJs in hip-hop, so it's no surprise he regularly recruits all-star lineups for his compilation albums. His latest, 'It Is What It Isn't,' is the fourth edition in his 'Ground Original' series and features artists like KRS-One, Breeze Brewin of the Juggaknots, Homeboy Sandman, A.G. & O.C. of the Diggin' in the Crates collective, Erick Sermon, Reef the Lost Cause and Buckshot, just to name a few.

Among the talented artists featured on the new LP are West Coast representatives Murs and Fashawn, who previously teamed up on the 2012 collaboration album 'This Generation.' DJ JS-1 brings the two together once again for the single 'Whatever It Takes,' which he also produced. This high-energy track showcases JS-1's skills on the one's and two's while Murs and Fashawn spit some rhymes about what it takes for each MC to make it in the rap game.

Fashawn raps, "Bear Gang, everyday I be HD, living life in 1080p / Soul based, soul kicks, but never made a beat / Young n---- and petty screaming c'est la vie / Drop a few breadcrumbs on the latest sneaks, Lacoste sport tee fall gravy meat / Give a f--- what a hater think / Serve a n---- redrum with his plate of beef / Sandbox, I play the streets / Dwyane Wade when I wave the heat, like my n---- Dru-Ha with navy crease / I'm on the way to the money, you on your way to sleep / Goodnight my n----, from FC, but the Hollywood life I live it / As far as the flow, Fash don't know when to stop and it ain't over till I'm home at the top / Is you rolling or not."

DJ JS-1's 'It Is What It Isn't' is in stores now via his Ground Original imprint.
