Dave East Drops ‘Paranoia: A True Story’ [LISTEN]

Dave East's new EP Paranoia: A True Story is here.

The New York City representer has seen his star steadily rise over the past two years; and East's new project is his first EP since inking that deal with Def Jam last year.

The 13-track release is the follow-up to his 2016 Kairi Chanel mixtape, (it's named after his daughter) that was released last September. Nas, Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and Chris Brown all make appearances, with production from Amadeus, Harry Fraud, among others. Nas is also executive producing.

“I feel like I’ve been really just exploring me and different sounds,” he recently told Billboard. “I’ve worked with different producers that I hadn’t worked with before, so it was really just me, like, just growing in life and you know, my music is gon’ grow with me.”

Just a few days ago, East appeared on A$AP Ferg’s “East Coast Remix,” with folks like Busta Rhymes, A$AP Rocky and more. And back in July, East and Nas rocked the stage at Pandora's #SoundsLikeNYC event at Brooklyn Steel.
