A year after being accused of adding some powdered motivation to a woman's drink in California, Cee Lo Green will finally know whether or not the D.A. will move forward in charging and prosecuting him with date rape.

If you don't remember, Cee Lo found himself facing sexual battery changes in the state of California after a woman claimed the performer slipped MDMA (Ecstasy) into her drink at an L.A. sushi restaurant. The Golden State hasn't moved forward with any charges yet because they asked the detectives behind the case to collect more sufficient evidence. But if they do decide to take legal action against the rapper/singer, he could face up to eight years in prison since rape is a felony in California.

According to TMZ, "They wanted additional toxicology information on what, if any, drugs were found in the woman's system." But because testing is expensive, and takes place at multiple sites, the process has taken months. The D.A. has also requested that the police find more witnesses to verify the woman's accusations because right now the case is he said/she said.

"The LAPD will personally present [the report] to the D.A.'s office -- that should either happen late this week or the following," says the global media source. But according a California law-enforcement official, it is highly unlikely the D.A. will be able to move forward with this case.
