CeeLo Green has been explaining his "Gnarly Davidson" alter ego for months now, and the famous freak from ATL finally made his big debut as Gnarly on the 2017 Grammys red carpet.

In December, the Gnarly Davidson project became a subject of conversation after a video went viral featuring Cee-Lo holding what appeared to be an exploding phone. After it was revealed to be a staged incident, the rapper-singer explained Gnarly.

Sort of.

“In the words of Iggy Pop, and I quote…Look out honey cause I’m using technology…Ain’t got time to make no apology,” Cee Lo wrote. “Well in that case I may as well be called TECHNOLOJESUS !!! But you can call me GNARLY DAVIDSON FOR SHORT.

Later that month, he debuted the video for "F*ck Me, I'm Famous," the first single as Gnarly Davidson.

XXL shared a look at Gnarly Davidson in an early image. When asked for comment on his new identity, CeeLo sent a message that read:

“Look at me… LOOK AT ME! YOU DID THIS TO ME CEELO GREEN, YOU FUCKING IDIOT. BUT I LIKE IT, I’m actually…BETTER! Than you… than everyone! A karmikaze upon you! Vengeance is mine sayeth GNARLY DAVIDSON. P.S. TECHNOLOJESUS saves.”
