Bryson Tiller has come long way; from sleeping in his car roughly two years ago to becoming one of the rising R&B singers in the game. Now his hometown of Louisville, Ky., is honoring him for his musical achievements.

Over the weekend, the 23-year-old singer was presented with the key to his beloved hometown, on behalf of the Louisville Metro Government. On top of that, March 12th has been recognized as “Bryson Tiller Day” in Louisville.

The Trapsoul creator joins other artists who were recently given keys to their respective hometowns -- including Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

Following the ceremony, Tiller closed out his Trapsoul Tour with a concert performance that featured a surprise performance from Big Sean. The Detroit MC performed “IDFWU” for the roaring crowd.

Props to Bryson Tiller on his honorary key to the city.
