Bobbi Kristina’s Estate Joins Bobby Brown Lawsuit Against TV One Biopic
As we reported earlier, Bobby filed a lawsuit last week against the network claiming their biopic, Bobbi Kristina, depicts him as a neglectful father.
In the newly amended lawsuit, Bobbi Kristina's estate alleges the biopic violates her right to privacy, which it claimed survived her death at age 22.
“The movie contains defamatory scenes about the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown,” the lawsuit states. "The movie also 'contains defamatory and untrue depictions of Robert Brown [aka Bobby Brown] being violent towards Whitney Houston...and [there are] scenes suggesting that Robert Brown does not love his daughter or is [not] committed to Bobbi Kristina Brown.'"
Brown also claims that he has sold the rights to a biopic about his life to BET and that TV One's film jeopardizes that project. Brown was initially suing for $1 million but the amended lawsuit seeks $2 million in damages.
Attorneys for TV One had no comment on the matter.
