Bobby Brown is trying to stop TV One from airing a biopic about her late daughter Bobbi Kristina.

According to E! News, Brown has filed a lawsuit against the network claiming the biopic puts him in a negative light. He states that the movie “contains defamatory and untrue depictions” of him “being violent” towards the late Whitney Houston.

He also alleges that the TV movie shows untrue depictions of his relationship with Bobbi Kristina, suggesting that Bobby “does not love his daughter.” In addition, Brown claims producers used information from his 2004 Bravo TV reality show, Being Bobby Brown, without his permission.

Brown wants an injunction slapped on TV One and is seeking $1 million in damages.

In a statement, TV One wouldn't address Brown's allegations but maintains that their TV movie presents a fair representation of Bobbi Kristina's life. It reads:

We are aware of the reported legal challenge by Bobby Brown regarding the film Bobbi Kristina and are taking appropriate steps on behalf of our network to respond. While we are not able to address our legal response at this time, we stand by the film and its representation of this period in Bobbi Kristina's life."

Bobbi Kristina stars actress Joy Rovaris, who plays Bobbi, along with Demetria McKinney who plays Whitney Houston and Hassam Johnson who portrays Bobby Brown.

TV One’s Bobbi Kristina will premiere on October 8. Watch the trailer below.
