Kanye West skipped out on this year's BET Awards ceremony but he still took home the trophy for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Although Yeezy had some stiff competition, he proved to be the victor beating out the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, B.o.B. and Rick Ross.

Young Money MC Nicki Minaj and singer Justin Bieber, who announced the category, accepted the award on 'Ye's behalf.

Leading up to the winning announcement, Minaj and Bieber faced off to see which of their fans were more loyal. Supported by a group of her "Barbz," Minaj flirted with the teen heartthrob, inquiring if he "knew how to drive," and referenced her famous figure, asking him if he "likes curves," before giving West a quick shoutout.

The Chicago rhymer is also up for a total of three awards, including the coveted Video of the Year trophy for his single 'Runaway,' where he will go up against Marsha Ambrosius, B.o.B, Chris Brown and Keri Hilson.
