DonwillCincinnati rapper Donwill, one-third of hip-hop group Tanya Morgan, is prepping his solo album, 'Tanya Morgan Presents: Don Cusack in High Fidelity,' for a March 23 release. The project is an homage to the 2000 film 'High Fidelity,' starring John Cusack as a record store clerk faced with the challenges of growing up and falling in and out of love. Donwill incorporated his own personal tales of relationship and career woes into a 16-track musical journey that "will resonate not only with fans of the original film but also with anyone who has spent time trying to figure out the opposite sex."

"This album is based on being in a state of perpetual pre-mid-life crisis," Donwill explains. "Nothing in life will give you all the answers, but this album will help people find some of the answers they might be looking for."

Tanya Morgan producers Von Pea and Brick Beats handle the majority of the album's production alongside A-Plus of the Souls of Mischief and up-and-coming bi-coastal duo Keelay & Zaire. "Originally, I was going to use the concept for a short EP and had made all of the beats myself," says Donwill, who debuts his own production in the single 'December 27th.' "One of those beats was a clear standout, so when I decided to expand the project into a full-length, and really give the album it's proper due, I brought in other producers and used their beats along with mine."

In support of 'Don Cusack,' Donwill has posted several of his personal top 5 lists, along with other ruminations on life, love, and hip-hop at his blog, mcdayjob.com.
