The Alchemist

After years of collaborating, touring and, no doubt, smoking together, The Alchemist and Evidence are finally gearing up to release their long-awaited joint project, 'Lord Steppington,' as the aptly-named duo Step Brothers early next year.

Evidence and The Alchemist are more than just long-time collaborators; they're Step Brothers. That's the moniker the rapping/producing pair are running with for their very first (and long overdue) joint project, 'Lord Steppington,' which is due out Nov. 19.

The Alchemist has been one of rap's premiere beatmakers for over a decade now. The California native has produced songs for artists ranging from Group Home to Snoop Dogg, and anyone in between. And while ALC is known for his gutter contributions to Prodigy's 'H.N.I.C.' and for his substantial catalog with Dilated Peoples, he has been on a prolific tear in the last five years.

Boldy James may have dropped a new mixtape, 'Jammin' 30: In The Morning,' just last week, but its his collaboration album with The Alchemist that we've all been eagerly awaiting. Today we're treated to the title ('My 1st Chemistry Set'), release date (Oct. 15) and album cover (see above), as well as the first single called 'Moochie.'
